Ginger capsules 250 mg each before breakfast, lunch and dinner starting the day before menstrual bleeding starts till day 3 of the cycle resulted in a remarkable decrease in the amount of hemorrhage per menstrual cycle in participants receiving ginger during the three months of intervention. Three participants reported adverse events after receiving ginger during the three intervention cycles.
